Two Years Already!
It's hard to believe that Gluten-Free Wikaduke has been meeting for two years! During this time, we as a group have offered encouragement and support, shared frustrations and elations and have given gentle nudges in the gluten-free diet direction when needed. Just as we did in November of 2007, we'll have a potluck to celebrate our successes!
If you feel you can provide a safe option, please plan on bringing a gluten-free dish to pass. In addition, please bring a copy of the recipe with the brand names of the ingredients used. Please leave a comment listing your name and what you'll be bringing to share!
If you don't feel you can make a safe option in your home kitchen, you might consider bringing a premade product--something from one of the GF bakeries or picked up at the store, beverages, plates, napkins, cutlery, etc.

Sueson Vess is now hosting her Gluten-Free Support Group Meeting at the new Whole Foods in Naperville. The next meeting is tonight, Tuesday, October 14 at 7PM. The topic for tonight's meeting is 'Gluten-Free Halloween Treats.'

October Is Here Already?
Gluten-Free Wikaduke will meet on Saturday, October 4th from 10AM until 12Noon at Edward Plainfield Outpatient Center on 127th Street and VanDyke Road in Plainfield. As always there will be interesting information shared and tasty foods to try. Hope to see you!
Funky Monkey Snacks
Funky Monkey Snacks has graciously agreed to provide Gluten-Free Wikaduke with a sampling of their freeze-dried fruit snacks at our meeting on Saturday!
The flavors include Bannanamon, Jivealime, Purple Funk and Carnival Mix. The first 3 are organic, but all are gluten free.
The snacks can be purchased locally at Whole Foods or at a few online sources including amazon.com.
