Very tasty Chinese Takeout Lemon Chicken Recipe
I made this last night. IT WAS YUMMY and EASY!!
1 Tb. oil
1lb of chicken boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
1 package 6oz snow peas. (I used fresh)
1 small red pepper
1 package Jello brand lemon flavor gelatin, it calls for 4oz but they now make them in 3 oz. It worked fine
1 Tb cornstarch
1/2 cup chicken broth, I used about 3/4 because we like more gravy type thing
2 Tb Kraft Zesty Italian dressing
2 cloves of garlic, minced
Heat oil in large skillet on med-high heat. Add chicken and cook about 4 mins. or until cooked through. Add snow peas and peppers. Cook about 2 mins.
Mix dry gelatin and cornstarch in small bowl. Add broth, dressing and garlic, stir until dissolved. Add to skillet. Reduce heat to med. cook 3 mins or until sauce is thickened, stirring frequently. Serve over hot rice.
