Toffee

2 sticks butter
1 cup sugar
2 Tablespoon water
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
4 Hershey Chocolate Bars

Melt butter in saucepan, add sugar, water and vanilla extract. Cook on high for
12 - 15 minutes, use a candy thermometer or test in a glass of ice water (drop a small amount in a glass of ice water, it should NOT stick to your teeth) The mixture should be dark brown, think of Hershey Toffee.
When done, poor on to a cookie sheet, spreed out, I like it thin.
Break up 4 Hershey bars and coat the top of the toffee. Do not delay, you need the heat from the toffee to melt the chocolate. Optional:Sprinkle with finely ground nuts.
