Gluten Free Wikaduke is a Celiac support group that meets at Edward Outpatient/Emergency Center in Plainfield. The meetings are held at 10AM to 12:00 noon, the first Saturday of each month, (except January and July).
Our mission statement: To improve the quality of life of those living with Celiac Disease and gluten intolerance through education, advocacy and support in a group setting.
Gluten Free Wikaduke was started six years ago by two diagnosed Celiac’s, who had the desire to assist Celiac’s and those who are gluten intolerant, navigate the gluten free lifestyle.
Over the years the group has evolved into a clearing house of information and emotional support provided by all members of the group. This is not a meeting where the leaders do all the talking. The success of the group is its members desire to contribute.
There are no medical professionals affiliated with the group, although they are always welcome to observe or participate.
There are no dues, or fees of any kind. We have a purely voluntary raffle to help pay for group expenses.
