Group order at a NEW place

Biaggi's restaurant has a gluten-free pizza now. Its YUMMY! I asked where they got it from and they said French Meadow Bakery. I am going to order some. And try a few of the other things they offer. If anyone else wants to order let me know. There is a 20% discount on this order, no tax. I will order by next Thursday the 8th of Oct. I will need the money BEFORE I place the order. I live in Plainfield. See everyone at the meeting! Thanks Wendy

Group Buying!

Thanks to Mary, Laura and Betty Ann it seems that we will be able to make purchases from the food distributor at a 30-ish% discount. There are pages and pages of gluten-free products from which we will need to choose. Thus, we ask you to list items that you would like to buy. The company does not split cases so we will need to purchase at least a case of each item.

In the comments section, please list any items that you might be interested in purchasing in bulk. Then we can create an order form based on the products that interest you.

Coop Ordering on Hiatus

Due to our other Gluten Free Wikaduke responsibilities and life, there just isn't enough time or energy to continue coordinating the cooperative orders. As a result, we will not be placing another cooperative order until a participant volunteers to coordinate the process.

If you are interested in coordinatng the cooperative orders, please let us know.

May Group Buying

5/7/7 Updated! The deadline for ordering the following products and product payment is May 11th.

The 20 cases of Chebe mix have arrived and will be distributed tomorrow at the meeting. So, it's time to post the May offerings!

1. Glutino Pretzel Sticks
12 - 14.1 ounce bags per case $ 5.77 per 14.1 ounce bag

We've seen these awesome pretzels sold locally for $7 + per bag. Once again the more we buy the less expensive they become! Must order bags in even numbers (2, 4, 6, etc.).

2. Xanthan Gum
6 - 8 ounce packages per case. $48.96 per case; $8.16 each from Amazon.com.

This is the best price we've seen on xanthan gum. It's often priced between $11 and $14 for an 8 ounce bag. Xanthan gum lasts forever so go ahead and order even if you have some left. We must sell the entire case to place the order.

Group Ordering - Chebe Mix

Sorry I didn't get this up by my designated deadline.

To make this as simple as possible for the first go around we're offering to organize a group purchase from Chebe.com. Chebe is a Brazilian bread mix that is made from tapioca starch. Most frequently, Chebe mix has cheese added to it and is made into dinner rolls. In my opinion though, the best use for Chebe mix is to use it to make a pizza crust. It makes a delicious thin crust pizza!

Chebe can be purchased for $2.89 a bag at Meijer. By ordering directly from the manufacturer we can purchase 6 cases (48 packages) for $ 2.38 per package, 4 cases for $2.64 per package, and 2 cases for $2.81 per package. The manufacturer doesn't charge any shipping fees and there are no taxes associated with the purchase. If everyone interested purchased 1 case (8 packages) at the 6 case discounted rate the cost would be $19.04 per case, at the 4 case discounted rate $21.12 per case and at the 2 case discounted rate $22.40 per case.

Chebe offers the following varieties at the above prices:
Original Chebe Bread Mix
All-Purpose Bread Mix*
Focaccia Bread Mix
Pizza Crust Mix
Garlic-Onion Bread Sticks Mix
Cinnamon Roll-ups Mix
*Tracy's preferred pizza crust mix.

Guidelines:
1. Must order 1 case of a specific item.
2. Payment by cash or check must be made when placing the order.
3. The Chebe order will be available for pick up at the May 5th meeting.
4. The deadline for order placement/payment is April 15th.

If you have any questions, please email us!
